Opening Ceremony of “Retrospective Exhibition on the 67-Year History of Macau Grand Prix Together”

Organized by Taipa Ferry Terminal Chamber of Commerce and CSI Group, Macau SAR Government Sports Bureau, Maritime and Water Bureau, Tourism Bureau, Kenneth International Entertainment, ZUVER Racing Team, Tianshi Racing Team, MACPRO Racing Team, China Telecom (Macau), Kenneth The “Retrospective Exhibition on the 67-Year History of the Macau Grand Prix Together” supported by Wine Cellar and Ama Restaurant held an opening ceremony at the arrival hall of the Taipa Ferry Terminal on October 19, 2020. Deputy Director of the Sports Bureau Lam Lianjiao, Secretary of the Macau Government Tourism Office Director Qihua, Chairman of the Municipal Affairs Bureau Tai Zuyi, Director of the Maritime and Water Bureau Tang Yuping, and Director of the Information Bureau Chen Lu attended the ceremony. The retrospective exhibition will be on display for one month from now on to promote Haojiang’s largest sports and automobile event of the year to tourists and local residents!

At the ceremony, CSI Group Chairman Zheng Zhijin led the officiating guests to kick off the exhibition. Cheng Zhijin said that the “Macau Grand Prix” represents Macau’s sports event and has witnessed the progress and evolution of Macau’s sports events. CSI Group also hopes to inherit the success of previous years and organize the “Retrospective Exhibition of the 67-Year History of the Macau Grand Prix Together” this year, which will once again be the warm-up event for the “Macau Grand Prix”. Take it to the Taipa Ferry Terminal to conduct preliminary publicity for the “67th Macau Grand Prix” for Macau residents and visitors to Macau.

Guests attending the opening ceremony included Suncity Group CEO and Director Zhou Zhuohua, Sands China President and Executive Director Wang Yingwei, Legislative Council Member Ip Siu-ka, and others. On the day of the ceremony, the organizer also used a new and innovative way of dialogue between the car and the car model to introduce one of this year’s exhibition cars – the Audi R8 LMS Evolution. The dialogue show between car models and racing cars is also the first of its kind in Macau. When two car models appear to the sound of R&B soul-style music, they collide with the AI ​​intelligent racing cars, creating a sparkling dialogue performance! It also surprised the audience.

In addition, the organizer of this event, CSI Group, also specially launched the first highly collectible Macau “Grand Prix Phone Card” in Macau. This is the first time in Macau and the first time since the 67th Macau Grand Prix that a commemorative edition phone prepaid card has been issued. This phone card is the No. 1 and No. 2 Greater Bay Area prepaid card (Grand Prix commemorative version) provided by China Telecom (Macau). It is definitely a practical and collectible souvenir, and will also be a topical souvenir of this year’s Grand Prix.

The design of the “Grand Prix Phone Card” (commemorative edition) is very distinctive. The sports car on the card is the Audi LMS R8 GT3 racing car. It is a racing car specially built by Audi China for the TSRT Tianshi Racing Team. There are only two of them in the world. It is used daily. It is impossible to see it on the streets. The card surface is designed with the speed of galloping in the dark night, rushing towards the finish line. The commemorative phone card will be issued in a gift box. The gift box and the phone card have the same design. The gift box is limited to 500 sets. It is one of the collections that racing fans cannot miss.

CSI Group also collaborated with the Taipa Ferry Terminal Chamber of Commerce to organize the “67 Years of Macau Grand Prix Together” historical retrospective exhibition, which was held at the Taipa Ferry Terminal Arrival Hall from October 19 to November 22. This exhibition is set up in different areas, mainly displaying historical exhibits related to the Macau Grand Prix in different eras for Macau residents and visitors to Macau. It makes up for the inability of tourists and citizens to go to the Macau Grand Prix Museum, which is under renovation and reconstruction, and also allows tourists to Macau can feel the atmosphere of Grand Prix Month right away.
